Introduction to the Housing Toolkit

The Housing Toolkit is designed to extend the functionality of Map Modeller and Map Editor.

Once installed and running, the Housing Toolkit provides additional options to the SIS Applications tab to streamline the processes of map production typically carried out by Housing Associations using Cadcorp SIS.

Note: The Housing Toolkit is designed to create property data on Cadcorp Base Dataset (BDS) files. The Housing Toolkit is not available to Map Manager.

The key features of the Housing Toolkit are:

• Creation of a red boundary outline of selected areas, either automatically or manually, and optionally prompt for attributes.

• Display of the attributes of selected items.

• Capability to add "T" Marks to show ownership of boundaries.

• Buffering of the selected item(s) to create a Notification list.

• Construction of a simple linear dimension between two points.

• Construction of a chain dimension along a line that is parallel to the X axis.
