ESRI BIP (*.bip;*.hdr;*.clr;*.sta)

ESRI BIP (Band Interleaved by Pixel) is an ASCII based format commonly used for the storage and display of raster imagery or grids. The format can contain any number of bands from a single band used to represent a Digital Elevation Model (DEM), to hundreds used in hyper spectral imagery.

The BIP format is optimised for accessing both spectral information from the dataset.

Usual extension is *.BIP but can be accompanied by a header file *.HDR, a colour map file *.CLR and a statistics file *.STA.

This is a memory based dataset.
