Compressed ARC Digitized Raster Graphics (*.toc)

CADRG is a military data format for storing raster maps and chart images.

CADRG consists of multiple images with their spatial location, relationships and embedded sub images referenced by an external database file. Geographically referenced by the equal arc second system which splits the world into 18 latitudinal zones.

CADRG is commonly used for moving display applications as the compression method used allows decompression to be carried out approximately ten times faster than JPEG images.

CADRG comprises many map sections linked by a master "table of contents" file. The commonly associated file extension includes *.TOC

This is a memory based dataset.
