Cadcorp Shared Dataset (*.sds)

An editable overlay, used within large datasets, which returns only a user-specified view of the data. Used within a multi-user environment for concurrent editing. A cursor dataset that handles vector data but does not support topology. SDS files use the Well Known Binary format for geometry, so they are compatible with the OGC Simple Features specification. SDS files are also used when working with Cadcorp mSIS.

Note: SDS format files have been superceded by Cadcorp Feature Database (FDB) files. SDS files cannot be created in SIS, although they can be opened, edited and saved.
