Hierarchical Data Format Release 5 (HDF5)

Format that stores scientific data, with the extension of *.hdf.

HDF is a multi-object file format for the transfer of graphical and numerical data between machines. It is a self-describing format, and supports several different models including multidimensional arrays, raster images and tables.
