This is the native file format used by Intergraph software applications to store raster data. 1-128-bit colour. Each INGR file contains a single header composed of two more subheaders called Header Blocks. Each Header Block is exactly 512 bytes in length and an INGR file may contain as many Header Blocks as necessary to provide a proper interpretation of the raster data. Three major versions of the INGR file format exist. Versions 1 and 2 always have only two header blocks, and therefore always contain a header 1024 bytes in length. The version 3 file header contains two or more header blocks, and therefore may vary in length starting at 1024 bytes and increasing in increments of 512 bytes. See Figure INGR-1.
