At the release of SIS 8.0, Cadcorp upgraded the licensing mechanism. This now offers greater flexibility for licensing and includes functionality and tools for easier management of network licences.
All licensing is managed through a combination of a dongle and hardware lock and a licence file.
The licence file supplied by Cadcorp must be placed in the root folder of the SIS installation (usually C:\Program Files\Cadcorp SIS).
The supplied licence file name consists of three elements. The first two elements are always “cadcorp.lservrc”, the format of the third element depends on what the licence is locked to, see below:

You will be prompted for the supplied licence file during the installation of a standalone licence. As part of the installation process, the final element of the file will be automatically removed to rename the file "cadcorp.lservrc".
