Assembling a map base

This topic deals with the assembly of a map base for the first time. You do not need to know how to assemble a map base if:

• you are working on a map base which has already been defined for you by your system administrator.
  
  
• you are running an application which is based upon SIS and which has a customised start-up. This could involve an initial KeyMap being automatically loaded, or you may be prompted for certain information while the system starts. In this case, refer to the documentation specific to your application, or consult your supplier.
