Windows Service

The ETL service is designed to run automatically on server start.

It can also be manually stopped and re-started via Windows Services (Control Panel > Administrative Tools.)

The user has no interaction at all with the service but can check its activity via the Event log (Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer)

Events raised by Cadcorp SIS ETL can be viewed under Applications and Services Logs > Cadcorp:

Remember

  1. The Event Viewer displays events when it was first opened – it does not refresh automatically. To see the latest events, manually click Action > Refresh.
  2. The Cadcorp entry in Applications and Services Logs will only be visible if the Event Viewer has been started after CadcorpSISETL has raised an event. A refresh is not sufficient to make this entry visible).
