Log
Find extensive information about the GeognoSIS server in the Log section.
The log can include information such as server start-up date and time, period the server has been running, when sessions are started or ended and individual requests on the service.
TIP: Cadcorp advise you not to log individual requests except for debugging purposes.
Click on Log to display the Event Log:
Properties
To determine what events need to be logged, click Properties.
Event Log
Event | Description |
Errors |
Any errors discovered by GeognoSIS will be displayed in the Event Viewer. |
Server |
Server events such as Starting and Stopping the GeognoSIS instance will be displayed in the Event Viewer. |
Session |
GeognoSIS session events such as Create and Destroy will be displayed in the Event Viewer. |
Warnings |
Any warnings discovered by GeognoSIS will be displayed in the Event Viewer. |
File Log
You can save the event log as a file of your choice. Click Enabled to turn on this option.
File Name: The name of the log file (*.log) and its location. Enter the complete path where this file will reside (eg D:\MyFolder\Test.log)
Maximum Size: The maximum size of the file in KB. 0 means unlimited.
Remember a particularly large log file will reduce GeognoSIS's performance; so use caution while choosing items to be logged.
