Delete Path

Delete Path deletes part of a LineString item.

• Select CAD > Alter > Delete Path.
• Now click any two points on the LineString item to define the beginning and end of the path to be deleted.

A path is any part of a LineString item between two user-selected points. These points may or may not coincide with vertices.

Example:

1. Select Delete Path.
   
2. Click a point for the start of the path, this may be a point on a LineString item or the perimeter line of a Polygon item.
   
   
3. Click a point for the end of the path. The path between these two points is deleted.
   

If you use this command on a closed LineString item or Polygon item the path taking the shortest route between the two points is deleted.
