Search TipsOS (GB) 1:50K
Gazetteers from an Ordnance Survey (GB) 1:50,000 Gazetteer file.
Click Home > Gazetteer and select OS (GB) 1:50K from the drop-down list.
1. Click Browse to select a OS GB 50K Gazetteer data file.
2. Search: Type a Search string and click Find.
- Specify the number of Matches to be displayed.
- Select Fuzzy Match for broadly accurate result. The number in the drop-down menu denotes the percentage of accuracy. 0.8 is chosen by default. 1.0 ensures extremely precise location results. Else select Regular Expression.
- If you select a radius on which the search should be centred, you can also choose the radius distance from the drop-down menu.
