Select All

Select All selects all of the Editable and Hittable graphics within the current window, even if they are outside the window extents.

Select Home > Selection > Select All.

Keyboard shortcut key is F7.

Note: We recommend you use this command cautiously; for example selecting a complete holding of OS MasterMap takes a very long time!

Selecting items

Selected items are highlighted (i.e displayed with a superimposed hatching in a contrasting colour).

Selected graphic items can also be made to flicker to make them more conspicuous. This is achieved by selecting the Flicker selection option on the User Interface and Commands page of the Options dialog.

With all the items selected on a particular overlay, only the dominant one displays handles. The dominant item is normally the last item created. You can change the dominant item by clicking on another item with the Ctrl key held down.
