Oracle Georaster

SIS Desktop 9 supports the loading of Raster data into an Oracle Spatial database. The load will take whatever data is contained within the visible map window and creates pyramids of the data within the database.

GeoRaster is Oracle’s storage format for storing raster and grid data within the Oracle database. Once connected to the data source, SIS Desktop 9 allows configuration of Bands, Colour model, Stretching and Resampling to further enhance the visualisation of the raster data. SIS also supports the reprojection of Oracle Georaster data.

It is recommended that the Create Pyramid ticked (default) setting is selected in the Oracle Spatial GeoRaster dialog when exporting data.
