General Settings

Routing Tools Settings gives you extensive controls and options for your routing needs; these include setting road speeds, time formats, distance units, defining your own expression etc.

Select Applications > Routing Tools > Settings > General.

Time Format

Select the time format most relevant to your routing needs.

  • Minutes and Seconds (this is the default format eg 20:38)
  • Decimal Minutes (this is calculated by dividing default minutes by 60. Eg 20:38 would be 20:63 in decimal minutes) Decimal minutes represents a fraction of an hour, specifically 1/100th of an hour. It is a subdivision of a minute, where a standard minute is divided into 100 decimal minutes. Decimal minutes used for precise and granular time measurements.

Style

Click Route Style to customise the look of the pen styles; this includes colours, width, transparency, line shapes and more. Use the comprehensive palette to edit line styles or reset to default.

TIP: See also Edit Pen in SIS Desktop Help for more information.

Local NOL

In SIS Desktop 9.1, any local NOLs used by add-ins or applications can be hidden. This is purely for aesthetic purposes and for a tidier look.

The Routing Tools application installs a local NOL which contains bi-directional routing expressions for NGD data and the default print template for A4 Routemap. To see this NOL displayed in the Library , click Unhide.
