Align to Axes

Align to Axes aligns the selected geometry to the coordinate reference system.

• Select the item(s).
• Now select CAD > Alter > Align to Axes.
  

All segments which diverge by about 14 degrees or less are rotated so that they are aligned to the X and Y axes. The LineString item segments are rotated about their midpoint in order to align them.

Note: Segments that would have to be rotated by more than 14 degrees are untouched.

To align to orientations other than 0, 90, 180 and 270 degrees, use Rotate first to ensure all axes are at the orientation you require.
