Standalone Licensing
Standalone licensing uses a combination of a licence file and a hardware lock. Both MUST be present on the machine to use the software. If using a hardware lock, the licence file will be explicitly linked to the lock number.
There are exceptions to this. For instance:
- Computer-locked. The licence file is locked to a feature of the hardware. Both the licence file and defined hardware must be present on the machine. If the associated hardware feature is removed or altered, the licence file will not work.
Note: Currently the locking criteria is the UUID which MUST be static for a standalone computer-locked licence installation.
