Metadata

Metadata is information ‘about’ other data or layers. Metadata is only supported for GeognoSIS SWD, WMS and WFS layer types.

Adding metadata

Open the SWD in CadcorpSIS Desktop.

1. Select the layer and right-click to choose Overlay Notes.
2. Type the metadata in the text box and click OK.
3. Save the SWD.
   
   
4. Now open the user map and expand the layer list.
5. Click on the metadata icon to view the newly added metadata.
