Viewing TINs

You can view a TIN in 3D by using the 3D Window, however all editing must be carried out in the Map Window. See Working in a 3D View.

Examining height values of a TIN

To see the height values of TIN items:

1. In the Position bar (first drop down box) select the option Coordinates or Grid item (e.g. DTM or DEM).
   
   
2. Tick the Track option.
   
   
3. Move the cursor over the TIN. You will see a constant read-out of the cursor’s position, including the height, at that point on the TIN.
