Merge Nodes merges Node items which are co-incident, patching up any connected Link items.
Normally, SIS tries to avoid creating two Node items at the same place in the same dataset. Instead, a single Node item is used to connect all the Link items together at that location.
However, some imported datasets will have co-incident Node items, and you can also get co-incident nodes by cutting and pasting topology.
Before using this command, select lots of Node items. The y need not be all co-incident. Then SIS will look through them to merge them where possible.
