Axes in 3D

Because SIS is a 3-dimensional system, it is possible to give 3-dimensional coordinates, both relative and absolute, and you may therefore find it useful to position and rotate the axes in 3-dimensional space.

The axes "spin" commands. e.g. Spin X [View-Axes], enable you to rotate the axes around the X, Y, or Z-axis. The angle you enter will be incremental, whereas the angle set by Rotate [View-Axes] is always relative to horizontal (West to East). Spin Z [View-Axes] is the relative equivalent of Rotate [View-Axes].

Most construction commands operate on the XY plane of the current axes. So by rotating the axes about X or Y you can easily draw on non-horizontal surfaces.
