Starting a new session

When starting work with SIS for the first time, you should carry out the following tasks. Each of these is explained in its own topic in this section.

1. Select the required map coordinate system (a coordinate system and a viewing Coordinate Reference System).
   
   
2. Create a new SIS Workspace Definition (SWD).
   
   
3. Load up the datasets you require.
   
   
4. Save the SWD (Save [File-Save]).

In subsequent sessions, not all these tasks will be necessary.
