Selection Overview

SIS, as with other Microsoft Windows software, operates on selected items, which means you must make the selection before carrying out the editing. To select items, either choose Select [Home-Selection] (which ends the command you were already in), or end the current command by pressing the Esc (escape) key. This puts you into Select [Home-Selection], which is the SIS default command.

You may only select items if the overlay they are on is either Hittable or Editable (i.e. the status Visible does not allow selection of graphics). Hittable graphics, when selected, may be copied to the Clipboard, but may not be edited. Editable graphics may be copied to the Clipboard or edited.

Before you select items, you must end the current command if there is one in operation. Do this by pressing the Esc (escape) key. This puts you into Select [Home-Selection], which is the SIS default command.
