Service Release Upgrades
When installing a service release upgrade Cadcorp recommends you back up all instances in your existing version of GeognoSIS.
Note: The new version will be installed in the same location and all information about current instances will be preserved.
Installing the new version of GeognoSIS
- Uninstall the existing version of GeognoSIS.
- Restart your computer.
- Install the new version of GeognoSIS.
- Open the new version of GeognoSIS to see previously created instances. You may need to restart the instance.
How to restore a backup instance if required
If you have backed up your earlier instances, you can restore them manually in the new version of GeognoSIS. See also Backup and Restore.
TIP: Check to see if details set by the backup match your notes from the previously installed version.
