Fonts
The full range of True-Type fonts can be used for all Text, Box Text, Label and LineText items.
- The Windows Graphical Device Interface (GDI) can scale and rotate True-Type fonts by scaling and rotating their Bezier outlines and using a polygon fill operation.
- Some graphics cards and printers can also draw scaled and rotated text.
However these can be inconsistent and result in funny looking or even missing text in redraws and prints. This is easily fixed by getting more up-to-date device driver software from the hardware manufacturer (or from the Internet).
TIP: As a quick fix, configure your existing device driver to not attempt any hardware acceleration (be aware this may slow down your Windows software.) You may also find some fonts work better than others with your hardware.
