MapInfo TAB (*.tab)

MapInfo Professional format dataset - *.tab.

The native file format for MapInfo GIS which supports geometry and attributes. Can assign feature codes and feature table. Comprised of a minimum of a *.tab  and a *.dat file, to view the data as a tabular browser view. To see mapped data, additional files are required *.map, *.id and possibly *.ind.
