Spatial Filter
A Spatial Filter is a named object which includes ("passes") or excludes ("fails") items based on their position and geometry. For example, a Spatial Filter could be used to identify which houses lie within an electoral district. A Spatial Filter object is the spatial equivalent of a Filter object.
Spatial Filter objects use Geometry Tests to decide whether or not an Item passes or fails the Spatial Filter.
Spatial Filter objects are created using Spatial Filter [Create-Miscellaneous] on any selected Item. The command dialog lets you immediately apply the Spatial Filter object to an overlay to make overlay items which fail the Spatial Filter invisible, and optionally to save the Spatial Filter object in a Named Object Library. In addition, many SIS methods, e.g. Scan, accept a Spatial Filter as an argument.
