Quick Search
Quick Search helps you search for any location in your embedded map; this is useful when running Local Knowledge™ searches.
Before configuring Quick Search, ensure an appropriate database or service connection has been set up.
- Select Configuration on the map.
- Click Quick Search.
- From options, select View Available Searches and click Add to create a new search.
- Select Search Type and click Add to see all related options.
- The Search Type can be either services (OS Names, OS Places, Idox Symphony services) or databases (Oracle, PostGIS, SQL etc).
Search Types
Aligned Assets SinglePoint
Add this search type to enable WebMap to to search and filter results from the Aligned Assets SinglePoint API.

| Name | Add a Search description (this will be displayed as a title for the results on your site. |
| Projection | Available projections of the search data. |
| Service Connection | The database connection used by your address data. Related Topics |
| Adapters | Adapter to use with NLPG or Ordnance Survey address products. |
| Easting Column | Search Column that contains Easting information (for example x-coordinate) |
| Northing Column | Search Column that contains Northing information (for example y-coordinate) |
| Results Column | Search Column to be displayed as the result (for example the address column) |
| Search Columns | Add a column to be included in the search. Select a Name from the drop-down list. Include an alias for ease of use. |
| Optional Query | Add a query to filter results further based on properties. Pick a column that contains the property and sleect an operator (equals or not equals). Enter a Value field to set up the filter. |
Oracle (and Oracle full text search)

| Table Name | Name of the table within the database that contains the search data. |

| Results Column | Search Column to be displayed as the result (for example the address column) |

| Order By Columns | Order of precedence of the returned results. For example, a search for "Stevenage" could return "Stevenage Road" when in reality, the more appropriate result is the town Stevenage in Hertfordshire. |
OS Open Names

| Filter | Select any one pre-defined filter. |
| Easting Column | Search Column that contains Easting information (for example x-coordinate) |
| Northing Column | Search Column that contains Northing information (for example y-coordinate) |
| Primary Result Column | Determines which column to display first in your search results (see image below). |
| Secondary Result Column | Determines which column to display second in your search results. |
| Delimiter | Most commonly used delimiter is a Comma. |
OS Places

| Local Custodian Codes | Name of the table within the database that contains the search data. |
