Location: Overlay Types dialog > Web > Bing Maps Tiles (Aerial with labels)
Connects to the Microsoft Bing Maps "tile server", and mosaics the tiles together as a seamless image.
A Microsoft Bing Maps "Application Key" is required to use this dataset.
The Microsoft Bing Maps for Enterprise dialog will be displayed:
Credentials
Application key
Enter your Application Key, this will be in the form:

Save key in Options database (encrypted)
Check this tickbox if you want SIS to store the password in the Options database. The password will be stored in encrypted form for security.
Use the staging/evaluation service
Check this tickbox if you want to use the staging/evaluation environment. The staging environment can be used to prototype, develop and test new applications without the overheads of the full production environment.
Click OK.
The following Bing Maps Tiles (Aerial with labels) map will be displayed:

Note: If you wish to print OpenStreetMap or Bing datasets, it is advisable to create the SWD using the WGS84.Pseudo Mercator Coordinate Reference System, i.e. add this layer to the SWD first.
If you create an SWD in OSGB, or other Coordinate Reference System, and then add the OpenStreetMap or Bing, you will need to set the Coordinate Reference System to the WGS84.Pseudo Mercator CRS or Popular Visualisation Mercator, before printing.
