To add an overlay display the Overlays dialog, this can be done from the Overlays [Home-Map] command or by pressing F2, going to the General tab and clicking the Overlay button:

The Overlay Types dialog will now be displayed:
In Map Modeller, Map Editor and Map Manager all the overlay types shown in the Overlay Types dialog are available.
Map Express supports all the overlay types except for Create new file (Files tab). The overlays available to each product are shown in each individual group description.
Note: Confirm your user name and password details with your database administrator before attempting to connect to any of the overlay databases.

If a selected Overlay has been used previously in the current session a category called Recently used will be created at the bottom of the Overlay Types dialog. This category will display icons of any previously used overlays, this enables faster selection of regularly used overlay types.
