Create a Template to display the results

You can set up Local Knowledge to display your results in Templates.

There are four types of local knowledge templates that can be created:

  • Default template – a generic template that can be used if a specific one is not defined for a query.
  • Summary Template– to display the results within the Local Knowledge dialog.
  • Full Template – to display feature information when an item is selected from the results.
  • Nothing Found Template – to be displayed if no available data was returned.

Example

In this example, you can see how information is routed from the SWD to the website. Here the Local Knowledge is called Default.

  1. From the drop-down menu select Local Knowledge > Manage Local Knowledge.
  2. From the Default template select Edit.
  3. The first block in the dialog displays the Name of the Local Knowledge, the path to the SWD and also points to the GeognoSIS Instance.
  4. TIP: You can change the GeognoSIS instance in Site Settings.

  5. The Default templates in use are also displayed. Use the drop-down menu to select a different template.

TIP: Templates are created using the Add Templates option.

  6. Click Cancel and exit the Manage Local Knowledge dialog

1. Add Icon as Image

Any images included in the Summary Template are available through Add Icons.

2. Insert Image to the Template

First add the image to the uploads folder before adding to the template. See also Adding Images.
