Ground Modelling in SIS Desktop

SIS Desktop can read ground models from existing map data, e.g. OS (GB) Land-Form DTM 1:1000, 1:50000. The ground models can consist of DTMs (Digital Terrain Models, a special kind of Grid item) or TIN items.

Cadcorp SIS Desktop can also create new TIN items using Create TIN (Create > 3D) and Triangulate (Create > 3D).

TIN items can also be created from Grid items using Convert to TIN (Edit > TINs) .

You can use the Contour theme to annotate TIN ground models with contour lines.
