Plugin Universal Gazetteer

The Cadcorp SIS 9.0 Plugin Universal Gazetteer works with MS Access (.mdb) and MS Access (.accdb) database files meeting the following conditions:

1. Database Drivers:

The SIS Desktop 9 Plugin Universal Gazetteer requires the Microsoft Access Database Engine drivers to be installed on your computer. Cadcorp SIS Desktop will automatically install these drivers.

You will see the following errors if you do not have the drivers installed:

2. Database Files:

  1. The source database MUST contain a table named "ENTRIES" (not case sensitive).
  2. The "ENTRIES" table MUST have fields named "EASTING" and "NORTHING" (not case sensitive). Ensure this contains ‘x’ and ‘y’ co-ordinate values for each record.
  3. The table should also have a field named “FIELD1” containing the searchable data.
  4. For an additional search field, simply create one and name it “FIELD2”. This is optional.

    5. Note: Field names are NOT case-sensitive.
