Split Vertically

Description:

 Split Vertical splits a Map Window vertically into two equal halves, giving you two different views on the same set of data. You may then zoom and pan independently within either half of the window, the two halves behaving as if they were two separate windows.

If the Map Window is already split vertically, then this command returns it to a single view.

Before working in one half, click within it in order to make it active.

To split a window horizontally, use the  Split Horizontally command.
