Description:

 Align Pixels transforms the Bitmap item into the current view Coordinate Reference System. If the coordinate system of the Bitmap item's dataset does not match the current view Coordinate Reference System then the Bitmap item will be moved into another editable dataset which does.

If you view a Bitmap item in a foreign Coordinate Reference System, then SIS can do a best-fit linear transformation on the fly. So the rectangular Bitmap item would draw as the closest quadrilateral. However, for Bitmap items covering a large extent, the difference between the quadrilateral and the true transformation can be quite large. In this situation you could use this command to accurately transform the Bitmap item between the coordinate reference system.
