Save to File (Bitmap)

Conditions for use:

• Item Class: Bitmap
• Number selected: 1
• Minimum item status: Hittable

Associated commands:

• Set Transparency
• Convert to Grey
• Create Bitmap

Description:

 Save to File, or the Map Window command Copy To..., saves a Bitmap item as an external file. You can choose the format you require from the following:

• Bitmap (*.bmp)
• Dithered Bitmap (*.bmp)
• Graphics Interchange Format (*.gif)
• JPEG (*.jpg)
• PNG bitmap (*.png)
• Tiff LZW (*.tif)
• Tiff No-compression (*.tif)
• Tiff PackBits (*.tif)
• WebP (*.webp)

The external bitmap file will have the same size in pixels that the selected Bitmap item had. Notice that this is different from Export to file [File-Export] where the format and the resolution of the exported file can be chosen.
