Fill (Fill space enclosed by geometry of a selected item)

Conditions for use:

• Item Class: All item classes
• Number selected: 1
• Minimum item status: Editable

Associated commands:

• Add Geometry
• Convex Hull
• Decompose
• Process
• Remove Geometry
• Unfill

Description:

 Fill fills the space that is enclosed by the geometry of the selected item.

For example, you could use this to convert a closed LineString item into a Polygon item.

Note: Using Fill on a MultiLineString item which is drawn as if it has a hole will fill the entire Polygon to its outer boundary. For example if a MultiLineString item, as created in the second example in Unfill, is filled the hole will be ignored:
