Description:

North Point (or Create North Point... in the local menu) creates a North Point item, showing the direction of North inside the current Map Frame item's view.

A North Point item is a special kind of Point item, which is linked to a Map Frame and a Symbol in a Named Object Library. The North Point item will align its Symbol with the grid North direction in the Map Frame item. If the Map Frame angle is changed, then the North Point item will automatically rotate.

The Symbol which the North Point item refers to must be inside the special folder "*NP". Before you can create a North Point item you must create at least one Symbol in this folder, using Symbol [Create-Miscellaneous].
