SIS has a wide range of options to load Ordnance Survey GB data. All Ordnance Survey file formats are loaded directly by SIS without the need for conversion.
SIS includes support for the following Ordnance Survey GB data:
To access these Ordnance Survey options select Add Overlay [Home-Map], and select the Ordnance Survey (GB) tab.
Ordnance Survey data can be loaded so as to read and display native OS MasterMap data, on-the-fly, as ‘flat files’, i.e. attribute data is stored separately from the geographic data, in the following ways:
The following OS Managers allow data supplied directly from Ordnance Survey to be loaded into SIS without translation, and also handle COU updates.
These datasets must be loaded using the appropriate Manager and then read using the specific layer types. These datasets are not editable and only show tables which match the schema created by using the OS MasterMap Manager.
